About Karrie

An expert and renowned instructor, Adamany is the author of two books on Pilates. In her latest book, Post-Pregnancy Pilates: An Essential Guide for a Fit Body After Baby (Penguin, 2005), she draws on her personal and professional experience to enable her readers to get into the best physical and mental shape of their lives. She developed Centered on Moms™, a Pilates program specifically designed for new mothers to regain their fitness after pregnancy and childbirth.

Adamany is also the co-author of The Pilates Edge: An Athlete's Guide to Strength and Performance (Penguin, 2004). She is the founder of ab lab®, a service that sends certified Pilates instructors to private residences and hotels. She has been featured on television and radio, and in such publications as The New York Times, Time Out New York, Child, Elle, Real Simple, Muscle & Fitness Hers, Gotham, Hamptons, and the Los Angeles Times.



Adamany has been practicing Pilates since 1988, and was certified by Romana Kryzanowska, Master Teacher, and authority on the Pilates Method as taught by Joseph Pilates. She founded Centered studio in 2005, . She now teaches privately and lives with her family in New York City.
