I’ve been scouting again. Fall is my favorite season for many reasons, one of which is the exciting array of clothing options. Sweaters, boots, and jackets, oh my! Last weeks’ runway shows may have been showing Spring/Summer, but I can’t even begin to look at Fall clothes until the weather starts to shift. However once there is a slight chill in the evening air, I hit the streets and shops.
Before you all run out and spend your hard-earned cash, you should give your closet the once-over and see what you need. You also need to properly store your summer clothes for the cold season ahead. I love organizing and this is a project I embrace with enthusiasm every year.
You will need garment bags, proper hangers (no wire hangers), and cloth storage boxes for items that can/should be folded up (t-shirts, shorts, bathing suits, etc). And if you don’t keep your shoes in their original boxes, cardboard boxes are a good solution (because why would you want more plastic in your life?) and can be found in great colors anywhere from Ikea to The Container Store.
Back to the fun part: I’ve put together a little slideshow (yes click on this to see pics) of a portion of what I am coveting for fall. Now if only I could acquire some of the following. In the meantime, girl can dream…
In order of appearance:
Silver boots by Rag & Bone; Helmut Lang patina stretch leather leggings
Studded brogues by Church’s; Western shirt by Isabel Marant
Proenza Schouler small Zip Wallet; Vince Boat-neck Sweater
Theyskins’ Theory Patterned Velvet Dress; Belstaff Dallington Cropped Pea Coat
Happy shopping. Call if you need me for a second opinion!
